The Mad Scientists

Last Wednesday we created some science using cups, water, shaving foam and food colouring. It was basicly an experiment. First we filled the cup a little taller than half way. Then you fill the cup up with some shaving foam. Make sure there are no gaps. Then you put some food colouring on top of the shaving foam and it will look like it is raining. The shaving foam was the clouds, the water was the air and the food colouring was the rain drops. This experiment was based on the water cycle.

The Special Guest

This morning we had a special assembly. It was a Duffy assembly with a little twist. This man named Myron Simpson came to our assembly. Myron is a Duffy role model but also a New Zealand cyclist. He stated riding bikes when he was 3 years old. He went to the junior cycling cup when he was 8. The fastest speed he has ever gone on his cycle is 110 km an hour.

RONALD MCDONALD

Yesterday Ronald McDonald came to Ruapotaka School. He sang a song about crossing the road safely and wearing a seatbelt whenever you go in a car. He couldn't find his red and white sock, so we helped him find it. We had to go on a journey to school and hopefully find the sock. We walked across the streets carefully by looking and listening.
